Cazimodocrochet Competition

Every few months I run a competition on Mastodon in which I invite my followers to post a photo of what they would like me to make. The winner receives a free crochet toy of the thing they posted with free postage to anywhere in the world. The current competition is running in October, with the winner to be announced on Halloween. If you would like to enter you just need a Mastodon account and you need to follow me.

The winning entries from the previous competitions are shown below:

A photo of a black and white Boston Terrier with a white face, bar the black over his left eye (facing the camera) and ear. On that side of his face the eye is brown, while on the other, white side, it is blue. He has mainly white legs with pink nails, a black snout and some brown in his muzzle. The crochet toy version of the dog is on the right, also looking at the camera. It is sitting on a wooden surface next to a red wall.

Toby the Dog

This was the winner of the first competition I ran on Mastodon. The lady was a lovely friend of mine – we are all friends over there 🙂 . Toby had passed away, but the new Toby, which flew all the way to the States, now sits on the chair with her. She was so kind that she sent me an Emotional Support Chicken and a little happy pip in the return post, bless her 🙂 Toby was made with a combination of normal acrylic yarn and eyelash yarn.

Bella the Cat

This was the second competition winner, and was another beloved pet who had sadly passed away. The crochet toy version was made with very soft, fluffy yarn and the softness came out in the personality of the toy, which is very huggable. This toy too flew all the way to the USA to another lovely friend there.

A photo of a calico cat on the left with a crochet toy version of the cat on the right. The crochet toy version has been made from very fluffy yarn and is looking directly at the camera with a white face, green eyes and large fluffy brown ears.
A photo of a pug with one eye (left facing camera) sitting on the floor. The pug has a tan colouring and a black snout and black ears. On the right is the crochet toy version of the pug sitting on a green tartan stool. It has it's mouth open and a pink tongue is visible.

Winky Pug

The latest competition winner – another lovely American lady on Mastodon – had entered previously when Winky was sick, but this time Winky had unfortunately passed away and I was very glad that she was drawn from the hat on this occasion. Winky was made from a combination of very soft teddy yarn with highlights of eyelash yarn around her ears and top of the head.
